The Swedish band Scar Symmetry combines death metal with power metal on their debut album. Clean vocals alternate with death metal howls that are reasonably understandable. Along with the metal riffs you'll get a healthy dose of keyboards and plenty of guitar solos. Fans of groups like Soilwork should dig this album.
